The 4-inch and 6.5-inch units are designed specifically for locating telephone, electrical, and cable lines where no direct connection is available. Because this unit contains its own battery and acts as an independent transmitter, there is no need to worry about hauling a full-sized transmitter to the field.
The clamp transmits at 3 frequencies: 33Khz, 65Khz, and 82Khz.
