The PL-TT locator is an ideal tool for locating buried power cables, CATV cables, gas and water pipes, sewer lines, telecommunication lines, fiber optic cables with sheathing, sondes, and inspection camera transmitters. If the line conducts electricity, the PL-TT can find it. Additionally, with the industry standard frequencies of 8 kHz, 33 kHz, and 512 kHz, the unit can locate most sondes, even in buried PVC, ceramic, or plastic pipelines.
In addition to its underground utility location capabilities, the PL-TT also has a magnetic locator mode. Magnetic locators are ideal for locating iron, steel, ferrous, or magnetic objects buried underground. These devices can be used as property pin finders, survey magnetic locators, or UXO detectors. The 3 watt variable transmitter: Versatility in any EMF environment
The VF-3 transmitter has a 3-watt power output and multiple operating frequencies. This transmitter can transmit two frequencies simultaneously, ensuring that whatever the locating environment, the operator can identify the correct line.
The variable frequency receiver: Easy to use with an LCD screen
The PL-TT receiver includes an LCD screen that shows signal strength as well as a speaker to provide variable audio pitch when a signal is detected. The control panel allows the operator to toggle through available frequencies (512Hz, 8kHz, 33kHz, and 82kHz) and to select between locating modes and magnetic locator mode.
