Subsurface Instruments' most compact leak detector, this acoustic listening device consists of a microphone and an amplifier. With the microphone sensor placed on the ground, the amplifier transmits any leak sounds into the headphones worn by the operator.
Leak locations are identified by moving the microphone along the ground surface above the pipeline. The louder the noise, the closer the leak location.
