Use the Leica Trace Rod to locate underground plastic and ceramic pipelines
The Leica Trace Rod is compatible with most pipe and cable locating systems. It is used in conjunction with a signal transmitter or sonde to trace pipelines or ducts up to 4 inches in diameter. This makes it the perfect accessory for locating non-conductive plastic and ceramic pipelines. When charged with a transmitter or fitted with a sonde, the Trace Rod can be used to locate the route of a pipe or duct or to find the precise location of a break or blockage.
The Trace Rod diameter is 0.2 inch (4.5mm) and the sonde connection at the head is 0.3 inch (8mm). The typical detection depth is 10 feet (3m) and varies with transmission method.
