The Leica Rugby 680 Dual Grade Laser
The Rugby 680 Rotary Laser by Leica Geosystems is designed as a general semi-automatic construction grade laser. Made simple for indoor and outdoor levelling or grading tasks and built specifically for general contractors. This laser system can perform single and dual grading tasks quickly and reliably.
Increased range for larger projects
The 680 has the most powerful rotary laser beam in the Rugby series. When coupled with the Rod Eye 120 the range is 2,950 ft (900m). When coupled with the Rod Eye 140, the range is well over half a mile at 3,600 ft (1,100m).

Rod Eye120 vs 140
The Leica 610 is available with either the Rod Eye 120 or Rod Eye 140 laser receiver. The table at the right offers a comparison.
Self-Leveling: Start Working Within 30 Seconds
Time on the jobsite is valuable. Where every minute counts, minimizing set up time means maximizing work time. If set up within the self-levelling range, the Rugby automatically levels to create an accurate horizontal plane of laser light. Once the Rugby has levelled, the head will start rotating and the Rugby is ready for use.
Save Costly Rework with the “Elevation Alert”
The Elevation Alert function is automatic and turns on every time the Rugby 680 is activated. This function prevents incorrect work caused by movement or settling of the tripod that would cause the Rugby to shift.
The Elevation Alert function becomes active and monitors the movement of the Rugby 30 seconds after it has completely self-leveled. If the Rugby gets disturbed, the Elevation (H.I.) Alert screen is displayed and the Rugby beeps rapidly.
The Rugby 680 also has a “Smart Slope” function which adjusts the laser automatically if a change in the ambient temperature is detected. When this function is automatically activated, the grade mechanism will return to level position, check level and return to the original grade setting.
The Rugby 680 is Built TOUGH
This laser can withstand the harshest jobsite conditions! With an IP67 protection rating, the Rugby 680 is dust tight and protected against continuous immersion in water. Coupled with Leica Geosystem’s 5-year warranty, the Rugby 680 will provide years of reliable service.
